Fragments of Marilyn Monroe's Notes, Poems & Letters

Marilyn Monroe, the iconic Hollywood blonde bombshell actress who startled President John F. Kennedy with her sexy and breathless rendition of “Happy Birthday” at his 45th birthday celebration in Madison Square Garden, emerges once again with the release of “Fragments” today.

Promotional copy for the book: “Fragments is a 'collection of poems, intimate notes and letters' by Marilyn Monroe. The glossy title brims worth pictures and references to the many books in Monroe's life.

“Fragments is an unprecedented collection of written artifacts—notes to herself, letters, even poems –in Marilyn's own handwriting, never before published, along with rarely seen intimate photos.”

She died in 1962 from an overdose of barbiturates.

Included in the book, reports Galley Cat,are references to these books on Marilyn's bookshelf:

The Secret Agent, by Joseph Conrad
A Farewell to Arms, by Earnest Hemingway
Tortilla Flat, by John Steinbeck
The Sun Also Rises, by Ernest Hemingway
The Invisible Man, by Ralph Ellison

….among others.

The book was available for pre-order in the Kindle Bookstore for $14.99.
